Welcome family & friends! This is the Bacher Family Blog where we'll post pics and videos so our friends and family from afar can keep up with us! Mike and I have been married since Sept 29, 2007, and we've been a happy family of three since Zane joined us on July 18, 2009!
Zane is now 21 months old - and we can't believe that we haven't updated the blog since August. What can we say - he's been keeping us busy! He's a true joy and delight and even when he's fussy it's pretty easy to remember what a great kid he is.
Here's some pics from March & April! I am hoping to add some videos sooner than later...but at least ya'll get to see how adorable this kiddo is!

As of Wednesday August 18th, Zane was officially 13 months old!
Highlights: - Zane started walking!! He takes longer and longer "walks" every day. First it was 4-5 steps, and nowadays it's a couple dozen across the living room, kitchen, etc. (and all the kids at daycare are so excited each time he walks!)
- Still LOVES the water. Enjoys the pool every time, and has really had sooo much fun in his baby pool from his Auntie Annie. Last week @ daycare he was in the pool & kept putting his face in the water - first step towards holding his breath under water!
- A *lot* more vocal. Still no actual words, but he's doing plenty of communicating in his own way
- Some of that communication is expressed through tantrums! He understands so much more than he can express, understandable that he gets frustrated! For awhile he was throwing tantrums at EVERYthing, it's gotten much better in the last few weeks (whew!)

- Funny face for pictures - check out this silly face he's been making for the camera lately!
- Naps & Bedtime - he's developed the cutest, sweetest routine - every time we lay him down, he has his paci, and he holds Benjamin Bear, his blue bear/blanket "lovey" in his left arm, and we tuck his blanket in around him (currently it's the one his Great Grammie made him!) - it's the sweetest, most adorable thing ever! (and he goes sound to sleep, thankfully...nights are still 7p-7a!) Here he is with Benjamin Bear, who goes everywhere with him lately.....;)
- Food - still trying new yummy foods every week! Peanut Butter, blueberries, honey, onion & asparagus are the most recent. Migrating to finger foods, because he really, really prefers feeding himself. And finally, we are done with formula! Woohoo!
